Swinging hips and swaying palms await clients this fall at Kaanapali Beach Hotel’s annual children’s hula competition, Hula O Na Keiki. Clients who love the treasured Hawaiian dance can time their travels with this family-friendly event, now in its 23rd year and the only one of its kind on the island. Kaanapali Beach Hotel prides itself on providing authentic experiences that immerse guests in Hawaii’s rich culture. Over the course of the weekend, it shares the significant role hula has played throughout its history as young dancers compete in ancient and modern hula. The festival also features local arts and crafts, food, reenactments and additional activities imbued with a sense of place. Look for it from Nov. 8-10, at the oceanside northwest Maui resort. www.kbhmaui.com
