To accommodate the influx of travelers expected during the Olympics in 2020, new hotels are opening around Japan over the course of the year. From Tokyo to Okinawa, these properties will provide unique and luxurious stays for visitors as early as next month.

Ritz-Carlton Kyoto
Opening on Feb. 7, the Ritz-Carlton Kyoto features the work of hotel interior designer Peter Remedios. The property’s design showcases a contemporary spin on ancient Japanese beauty fused with a relaxed 21st century style. Guestrooms follow Kyoto’s traditional concept of pure and striking scenes of nature with views of the Higashiyama mountain range and Kamo River.

Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel
March 7 marks the unveiling of the Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel inside Japan’s tallest structure, the Abeno Harukas Tower Building. The property’s 360 guestrooms offer sweeping views of the city, while the hotel’s restaurant boasts a sizable collection of liquors from around the world as well as internationally inspired dining menus.
